Liu Tian-Hua
Bio

February 4, 1885
Liu Tian-Hua was born in Jiang Su Province, people's republic of china. At an early age he played various brass instruments.

1915
Liu bought an erhu at a local market and began to practice everyday traditional erhu music and soon began to compose for the erhu.

1918
Liu starte to compose "Moonlit Night".

1922
He moved to Peking to teach music a the university of Peking.

1923
he bought a violin and started to learn western musical theory.

1924
"Moonlit Night was completed and performed
Publicly for the first time.

1927
Liu bevame editor of a music magazine.

1928
"Night Song" was completed.

1931
His music was recorded for the first time.

1932
Liu composed "The flickering of the candle flame.". On the June 8th of that year Liu Tian-Hua died of scarlet fever.
